About Us

Less than half an hour from West Virginia's Capitol Charleston, yet a world away, Bear Cave Camp is a hidden treasure located on 60 forested acres in West Virginia's Lincoln County holler.  We are conveniently located along a rarely traveled two-way single-lane paved public road that overlooks many homesteads with livestock that dot Tornado's back roads.  Dare to escape highway and airplane noise to experience neighboring farm animal playful tussles, rooster rise-and-shine pronouncements, and hunting dogs tipping off deer passersby.   On Bear Cave Camp trails, you have opportunity to enjoy turkey, deer, toad, turtle and many more  nature's gifts. Whether you seek a back-to-nature family escape with Fido, a solitary sojourn, a team building adventure,  or an overnight or a day time escape, Bear Cave Camp is your haven for creating memories.

Our Mission

Bear Cave Camp's mission is twofold.   One, create an environment where people are inspired to engage in mindful togetherness with each other and with Mother Nature.   Two, provide veterans with a haven where they can experience gratitude and healing while honoring them with an everyday 50% rental discount.

Bear Cave Camp is dedicated to my husband Joseph Leroy Radle (1969 - 2024)

Air Force Veteran (Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm)
